Ignacio has a blankie!

Ignacio had a hard time spleeping from the beginning until...yesterday? We tried everthing, and one of the strategies was to try to find an object to which he could attach himself at bedtime. We tried a pacifier, actually all kinds of pacifiers, but he never liked them. We try a stuffed sheep, which he found it cute, but it didn't do the trick. Nor did the strategically-named "Morfeo" a stuffed dog with long legs, nor "Bjoern" a teddy bear whom Mike named in honor of his research in Iceland and to whom Alejandra added a viking helmet. After Ignacio turned one, he decided his blue blanket was a great thing. He squezees it and hugs it all night long. Lately upon waking up, he gets out of bed, he grabs his blankie, he goes to the door, leaves it on the floor, opens the door, picks it up, and runs to the livingroom hugging the balled-up blankie. It's very sweet! A side note: Alejandra had to make a serreptitious blankie-substitution because Ignacio actually first fell in love with a cheap plastic blankie that Grandma Helen bought at Walgreens during Christmas visit to St. Louis.
